As we mentioned in an earlier post about High Point Market back in October, while we don’t always get to attend the various major home decor and interior design trade shows in person, we are always keen to follow them closely on social media. And to be honest, we don’t feel like we really miss all that much. Hashtags on Instagram and Twitter make it incredibly easy to keep up with what’s going on and even spot the latest trends from afar as they’re emerging.
Such was the case over the last few days as we kept dibs on AmericasMart Atlanta’s International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, a major trade show featuring furniture, decor, accents, fashion accessories and more. While we picked out a number of emerging trends: bold floral prints, midcentury lines, the prevalence of Pantone’s Colors of the Year, one trend seemed especially dominant in our social feeds: the combination of black and brass. From Art Deco-inspired furnishings, to contemporary light fixtures, and painted dinnerware, the versatile pairing was everywhere.
Here are a few of our favorite examples we spotted throughout the show:
We we’re still into sunburst mirrors, we especially loved the brass hardware on this retro-inspired lacquer cabinet from World’s Away.
The abstract prints on this Wayland Gregory tabletop collection shows off the modern side of the color combination.
And how cool are these graffiti-inspired lamps?
A combination of textures, like the pony hair ottoman and the mirrored obelisk makes black and gold feel even more rich, no?
Love this glam, striking pairing as much as we do? We’ve pulled a few of our favorite black and gold pieces for your shopping pleasure, below!
