“Sea Swirl” is a color woodcut print by American artist Letterio Calapai (1907-1993). He is an accomplished painter and printmaker and member of the Atelier 17 Group and Society of American Graphic Artists. This work is an excellent example of the organic and poetic nature of his style. Unframed. Signed in pencil lower right: “L. Calapai”. Titled and numbered lower left “Sea Swirl 4/30”. A fine impression in fine condition aside from a crease along left edge sheet, printed slightly off center, with margins measuring between 3/4 and 1 1/2.
