Safari-inspired interior design is sort of like nautical decor or the shabby chic look: it never quite goes out of style, though it does seem to become a major trend inspiration every few seasons. Right now, with all of the focus on globally influenced furniture and decor, we’re in the midst of a British Colonial renaissance. Design inspired by the Serengeti is the having a major moment, and personally, we can’t get enough of the look. It’s rooted in tradition, but exudes worldly sophistication and a hint of glamour, too … and who doesn’t love that?
Below, we’re sharing a few of our favorite chic safari style rooms, plus picks from our brand new TLV collection, Out of Africa.
1. With its reclaimed headboard, breezy white bedskirt, and Palm ceiling fan, this bedroom by Panageries design is a timeless example of British Colonial style. Our favorite element: the zebra hide area rug on the floor.

2. This living room, by Baysix Design, would make us feel like we were on a perma-vacation. However, a neutral color scheme and traditional, versatile furniture make the look livable for everyday.

3. We love how this living area by C&C Design exudes the safari-chic vibe without feeling at all “themey.” The nods to African style–warm wood tones, palm leaf plants, natural fibers, airy white walls–are subtle and sophisticated.
