Connecticut: It’s a small state with big style. Chalk it up to our location smack in the middle of New York and Boston, our uber-chic residents like Tommy Hilfiger, Candace Bushnell, Graydon Carter, and Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, or our designation as the birthplace of preppy style, but you’ll find no shortage of chic here. Of course, we can’t discount some of our state’s newly minted style-setters; the lifestyle bloggers who have gained hundreds of thousands of loyal followers over the last five years and have taught us all a thing or two about what it means to live in style.
The Zhush. We’ve been fans of Sue de Chiara’s popular design blog, The Zhush, for years, so we were thrilled when she and her family made the move from New York to Connecticut last year. The best part about welcoming her to the state has been following along as she decorates her new property. Check out the posts here.
Quintessence. If you love interior design, you’re probably already a loyal follower of Stacey Bewkes and her blog, Quintessence, which has been included on “best blog” lists by Domino, Traditional Home, the American Home Furnishings Alliance, and of course, The Local Vault. 🙂
Greenwich Girl. Of course, we can’t forget our own hometown hero, Laura McKittrick of Greenwich Girl. She has single-handedly been chronicling everything from the best restaurant openings, to top boutique sales, to new fitness classes in Greenwich and the larger New York City area over the last few years, and we can’t get through a day without checking her site.
StyleCusp. If you love a good #OOTD post in your Instagram feed, you’ll want to follow blogger Marissa Meade of StyleCusp stat. Her blog and social media accounts chronicle the perfect outfits to wear almost anywhere in and around Connecticut, from shopping in downtown Westport, to sitting in the front row of New York Fashion Week, to relaxing on the beaches of Newport.
Lauren McBride. French country charm (that’s her living room in the image at the top of this post), an adorable family, and a knack for DIY; these are just a few of the things we love about Lauren McBride and her eponymous blog, but she also has great content in the realms of beauty, fashion, and motherhood, too.
What do you think of our list? Did we miss any of your favorites?
